Final Submission
This is the final Nature Labs chapter!
Lesson Media: We’ve prepared one more story for the students. The Chapter 12 story is video-only and aims to bring the class – the narrative arc, the lessons learned, the journey – full circle before we say goodbye. We leave it to you to decide whether the final story should be played before or after students submit and/or present their final project, but we recommend after.
Project Submission and More: Students will submit and/or present their final project for evaluation. But if students want to continue pursuing their idea, we want to encourage them to do just that. Students can:
- Explore the numerous resources available in the Curated Library to help them keep building their idea forward, whether as part of a career goal, in pursuit of a scholarship, or to get funding/investment to build something on their own time.
- Submit their final project to Nature Labs and we’ll create a national registry of the best ideas. We can’t afford to lose great ideas and we hope by creating a searchable database, decision-makers and innovators and rising leaders can learn from your students and, maybe just maybe, help them continue to evolve their projects.
- Submit their final project to Nature Labs as part of a national competition. The best project each year will be the focus of the next Nature Labs Inquiry Media. We’ll spend the time exploring the idea with leading Canadians – including the winning student – to see what it might take to make the project a reality. The story will be featured across all courses on Nature Labs and help inspire thousands of future students.
That’s it. THE END! Congratulations!
We hope you’ve enjoyed using this platform in your class. Certainly, we’re proud to have been part of your class and we hope we get to be part it again next year. If you have ideas for interviews, stories, activities or resources you’d like to see us feature on Nature Labs, let us know and we’ll do our best to make it happen. We welcome every idea that can help make this platform even more useful to you and your colleagues across the country.
We’re truly grateful for all that you do each and every day to equip a new generation with the tools to make our country and our world a better place for all life. We know it can be thankless, hard work at times, but from the bottom of our hearts and on behalf of every citizen who doesn’t say it often enough:
THANK-YOU!
